Our Services

We offer a complete range of tree surgery and arboriculture services for residential properties.

  • Regular pruning removes dead or damaged branches, encourages strong growth, and shapes young trees for a balanced, stable structure. It also improves light, airflow, and growing conditions for surrounding plants, while enhancing flowering and fruit production in ornamental and fruiting trees.

  • Crown lifting removes lower branches to create more space beneath the tree while preserving its natural shape. This provides better clearance for people, vehicles, and access, improves views, and increases light for your garden. Our arborists carefully prune branches to maintain balance and safety.

  • Crown reduction is ideal for trees that have outgrown their space. It reduces the size and weight of the canopy while maintaining the tree’s natural framework. Our surveyors determine the amount to reduce, and our arborists prune branches carefully to improve safety, manage structural weaknesses, and preserve the tree’s appearance.

  • Crown thinning selectively removes smaller branches throughout the canopy to reduce density. This increases light penetration and airflow, reduces wind resistance, and improves overall tree health without changing its natural shape.

  • Sometimes a tree needs to be removed for safety, health, or space reasons. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we provide safe, efficient tree felling services while minimizing disruption to your property and surroundings.

Our skilled arborists assess each tree carefully before felling, considering factors such as location, structure, and nearby buildings. We use professional equipment and proven techniques to ensure the tree is removed safely and cleanly.

Whether a tree is dead, diseased, structurally compromised, or simply in the wrong place, we handle the entire process — from planning and preparation to removal and site clearance.

Tree felling is a last resort, and we always explore alternatives where possible, but when removal is necessary, you can trust us to carry it out safely, responsibly, and professionally.

  • After a tree has been removed, the remaining stump can be unsightly, take up valuable space, and even pose a safety hazard. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we provide professional stump grinding to remove stumps efficiently and cleanly.

Our skilled arborists use specialist equipment to grind stumps down to below ground level, allowing the area to be reused for planting, landscaping, or safe access. This process also helps prevent new growth from unwanted shoots and reduces the risk of pest infestations.

Whether the stump is large or small, in a garden, driveway, or hard-to-reach area, we handle it safely and responsibly, leaving your property clean, clear, and ready for its next use.

  • Well-maintained hedges enhance the appearance, privacy, and health of your garden. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we provide professional hedge care, including trimming, shaping, and removal of overgrown or damaged sections.

Regular hedge maintenance encourages dense, healthy growth, improves airflow and light penetration, and keeps your property looking neat and well-kept. Our skilled team tailors each service to the type of hedge, its location, and your desired look, ensuring a tidy, balanced result.

Whether you need routine trimming, seasonal shaping, or complete hedge removal, we handle every job safely and efficiently, leaving your garden attractive and easy to manage.

  • Planting a new tree or  hedge is an excellent way to enhance your landscape, increase biodiversity, and create long-term beauty and shade for your property. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we provide a complete tree planting service, from selecting the right species to preparing the site and planting with care.

Our team ensures each tree is planted correctly to give it the best chance of healthy growth, taking into account soil conditions, location, and future canopy size. We can advise on native, ornamental, or fruiting trees to suit your garden or project goals.

Whether you’re planting a single feature tree or a larger scheme, we handle every step professionally, providing guidance on aftercare to help your trees thrive for years to come.

Consultancy and tree surveys

A tree survey provides a detailed assessment of the health, structure, and safety of the trees on your property. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we use our third party partners to complete a comprehensive tree survey and issue a report.

During the survey, qualified arborists inspect each tree to identify any signs of disease, decay, or structural issues that could pose a risk. we record tree species, size, condition, and location, and assess any potential hazards to people, buildings, or surrounding landscapes. The survey also considers tree protection requirements, such as Tree Preservation Orders or Conservation Area regulations.

After the inspection, we provide a clear, professional report with recommendations for maintenance, pruning, or removal if necessary. Tree surveys help you make informed decisions, ensuring your trees remain safe, healthy, and an attractive part of your property.

Protected trees?
We'll handle the paperwork.

Tree Preservation Orders

If your trees are protected, we can help you get the permission needed to carry out essential work.

Before carrying out work on a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), you must submit an application to your local District Council.

We’re happy to complete and submit the application on your behalf, free of charge, as part of your project.

We’ve been providing this free planning service for many years and have built strong working relationships with local councils along the way.

The good news is that only a small percentage of trees in Oxfordshire are protected by a TPO — so you probably don’t need to worry. Just make sure you check first!

Trees in Conservation Areas

Planning permission is also required before carrying out work on trees within a Conservation Area.

With many years of experience working alongside local tree officers, we’ve built strong, respectful relationships with our local councils. Our professional knowledge, proven success rate, and long-standing council liaison make us well placed to support your next tree project.

99% of our applications are approved first time

We’ll take the stress out of the process by submitting your planning application on your behalf. You’ll be notified once it’s lodged and kept up to date with any key dates or requests from your local Tree Officers.
