Consultancy and tree surveys

A tree survey provides a detailed assessment of the health, structure, and safety of the trees on your property. At Treescape Oxford Limited, we use our third party partners to complete a comprehensive tree survey and issue a report.

During the survey, qualified arborists inspect each tree to identify any signs of disease, decay, or structural issues that could pose a risk. we record tree species, size, condition, and location, and assess any potential hazards to people, buildings, or surrounding landscapes. The survey also considers tree protection requirements, such as Tree Preservation Orders or Conservation Area regulations.

After the inspection, we provide a clear, professional report with recommendations for maintenance, pruning, or removal if necessary. Tree surveys help you make informed decisions, ensuring your trees remain safe, healthy, and an attractive part of your property.

Tree Preservation Orders

If your trees are protected, we can help you get the permission needed to carry out essential work.

Before carrying out work on a tree covered by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO), you must submit an application to your local District Council.

We’re happy to complete and submit the application on your behalf, free of charge, as part of your project.

We’ve been providing this free planning service for many years and have built strong working relationships with local councils along the way.

The good news is that only a small percentage of trees in Oxfordshire are protected by a TPO — so you probably don’t need to worry. Just make sure you check first!

Trees in Conservation Areas

Planning permission is also required before carrying out work on trees within a Conservation Area.

With many years of experience working alongside local tree officers, we’ve built strong, respectful relationships with our local councils. Our professional knowledge, proven success rate, and long-standing council liaison make us well placed to support your next tree project.

We’ll take the stress out of the process by submitting your planning application on your behalf. You’ll be notified once it’s lodged and kept up to date with any key dates or requests from your local Tree Officers.
